Rio Tinto exposed our family to Asbestos

We were housed in a Rio Tinto house in Pannawonica for a year as an employee family. Over this year our family, including our young children aged 1 & 3 at the time, were exposed to Asbestos, Synthetic Mineral Fibres and Mould. This wasn’t just a case of living in an old house, the Asbestos and SMF’s were found to be potentially flowing into the house constantly (and pressurised to the bedroom where our children slept) over the year through a hole in the air conditioning ducting from the contaminated ceiling cavity. Rio Tinto staff refuse to answer our questions and sit down and discuss the harm this has caused our family, in all aspects and we will not stop until we get answers. As parents, we have no other option but to continue this fight to get the answers we deserve. Read through the blog posts below for the full story, so many lies, cover ups and deception.
