Test 3 Cane Street Pannawonica, the home our family lived in for a year came back positive. Positive for Synthetic Mineral Fibres or SMF to which no one will answer questions about their identification(more on that one later), only one of Microanalysis’s technicians that said they were “nasty looking”. On Every single surface tested from day one! All test taken by the 3 groups showed these.

Asbestos found in every room, bear in mind this house has ducted air conditioning to every room. 28 positive samples of Asbestos, Actinolite, Chrysotile, Crocidolite, Grunerite, a real mixture. Laurie Glossop who the Rio Tinto team brought in as an independent professional to do a report, said this is normal in a home in this area, he said it all come from outside(most likely) even though there were positive samples on the inside of the air conditioning vents........so we ask, “are you going to test other homes” no answer, “is it all over town” no answer.

It’s interesting because Crocidolite the one from Wittenoom, most likely the native, showed up on one test........Actinolite is from Gundagai, must be strong winds Mr Glossop? Grunerite is from South Africa, even stronger winds hey? We asked these questions to Toby Ellis from Rio Tinto, we wanted answers, he refused to answer, outright. He started to get annoyed at us because we were calling him out, seriously mate, would you not do that if this was where you had your kids living, where you were living?
